Graziella e una sua opera





Graziella Da Gioz nasce a Belluno nel 1957.  Frequenta l’Accademia di Belle Arti a Venezia seguendo i corsi di Emilio Vedova, che la invita alla mostra “Vedova e il laboratorio”, Museo d’Arte Moderna di Strasburgo (1984).



Lo studio del paesaggio è mediato dalla lettura di testi poetici e predilige le tecniche del pastello, della pittura a olio e dell’incisione.



Tra le mostre principali: 1992 personale a Palazzo Sarcinelli, Conegliano, 1993/1997 mostre collettive itineranti “Venti pittori in Italia”, “Pitture. Il sentimento e la forma”, 1999 “Elogio del pastello” Palazzo Sarcinelli, Conegliano, 2003 personale alla Living Gallery, Roma, 2009/2010 “Pittura d’Italia. Paesaggi veri e dell’anima”, Castel Sismondo, Rimini, 2010-2013 personali a Galata Museo del Mare, Genova, Galleria laRinascente Padova e alla Villa Ancilotto di Crocetta del Montello.

Nel 2005 a Sonthofen (Germania) riceve uno dei tre premi destinati agli artisti europei invitati.



Nel 2006 esce il libro d'artista “Dal paesaggio”, edito dalla Stamperia d’Arte Albicocco, Udine, con poesie di Andrea Zanzotto insieme a nove sue incisioni e nel 2011 “Le stagioni sulla Marteniga” di Tina Merlin, con una sua incisione e cinquanta pastelli, Edizioni Colophon, Belluno, libro esposto anche a Venezia, Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna Ca’ Pesaro (2015)



Nel 2011 è invitata alla 54^ Biennale Internazionale d’Arte di Venezia, Villa Contarini, Piazzola sul Brenta.
Nel 2014 partecipa alla mostra “Attorno a Vermeer. I volti, la luce, le cose”, a cura di Marco Goldin, Palazzo Fava, Bologna.
Nel 2015 espone un ciclo di opere dedicate al delta e alla laguna nel Museo regionale della Bonifica Ca’ Vendramin e a Ca' Cornera nel parco del delta del Po e nel 2016 presso la Galleria I Talenti a Portobuffolè (TV).  A S. Vito di Cadore e a Belluno, Palazzo Crepadona, presenta una serie di pastelli e oli sul tema dell'albero (2015) e dell'acqua ("Dolomiti d'acqua" 2016)

Nel 2016-17 partecipa alla mostra “Ode alla pittura”, che raccoglie una scelta di opere della collezione di Palazzo Sarcinelli a Conegliano, curata da Marco Goldin.

Le sue incisioni e libri d'artista sono presenti in rassegne  nazionali e internazionali. Nel 2014 è stata invitata alla Terza Biennale Internazionale d’Incisione ad Araraquara, Brasile, nel 2016 alla Triennale della Stampa Contemporanea di Tolosa (Francia) e alla mostra "Cahier de dessin", Biblioteca Vallicelliana, Roma. 

Fa parte dell’Associazione Nazionale Incisori Contemporanei.

BIOGRAPHY
Graziella Da Gioz was born in Belluno in 1957. After qualifying at the Art School in Treviso she attended the Accademia of Belle Arti in Venice and followed Emilio Vedova’s painting course. In 1984 Vedova chose two of her paintings along with some produced by other art students for his exhibition named “Vedova and his studio” which was held at the Modern Art Museum in Strasburg France.
Meeting the poet Andrea Zanzotto turned out to be very successful, his works became inspiring sources; lyric illustrations were therefore produced which were published in the French magazine “Noise” in 1986, issued by the Maeght Gallery in Paris.
In 1992 Marco Goldin invited her to hold an exhibition in the Modern Art Museum in Palazzo Sarcinelli in Conegliano and from 1993 to 1997 she displayed in both private and public areas with the itinerant group “Twenty painters in Italy” and she took part in the itinerant exhibition “Pitture. Sentiment and form-Italian artists from the fifties and sixties” under the care of Marco Goldin who invited her in 1999, to the exhibition named “Elogio del Pastello” in Palazzo Sarcinelli in Conegliano with many Italian painters of the 19th century.
In 2002 she was invited to the collective exhibition “Memories and Nostalgia” Ta Matete Gallery in Milan and in 2003 she displayed in Rome in the Living Gallery.
In 2005 Graziella participated in the exhibition in Sonthofen (Germany) with four oil paintings dedicated to the thawing, in the sphere of exhibitions and cultural displays “Die Grosse Sudliche”, where she won one of the prizes assigned to the European artists invited.   
In 2005-2006 she worked on a collection of etchings for the book of art “Dal Paesaggio” edited and printed by the printing-shop Corrado Albicocco, Udine. A few of Andrea Zanzotto’s  poems dedicated to landscape are also included as well as nine etchings and an epilogue by Manlio Brusatin. The book was also presented alongside some paintings and etchings in a few Italian Galleries in an itinerant exhibition in 2006-2009.
In 2008 she painted a series of pastels and oils, the theme was the port which she exhibited in Palermo, Gallery 61, and in Genova in the Galata Sea Museum. In 2009 – 2010 Marco Goldin invited her to the exhibition “Pittura d’Italia, paesaggi veri e dell’anima” in Castel Sismondo in Rimini, and the exhibition “Italia dipinta” near the IULM university of Milan, with some oil paintings depicting the snow.
In 2011 she was invited to the 54th international art Biennal of Venice, in Villa Contarini, near Padova. At Colophonarte in Belluno where she exhibited her works in "Homage to Tina Merlin" with the artist's book "The Seasons on Marteniga”. This artist’s book was also showed in 2015 at Ca’ Pesaro Museum, Venice.
In 2012 she exhibited with fifty works at the Gallery laRinascente in Padova.
In 2013 she had a personal exhibition in Crocetta del Montello and in 2014 she was present at  “Around the Vermeer. The faces, the light, the things” in Bologna, Fava Palace.
In 2015/2017 she  exhibited in Ca’ Cornera Gallery, in Museum Ca’ Vendramin in  the Po Delta Park, in  at the Gallery Talenti, Portobuffolè (TV), Palazzo Crepadona, Belluno, Palazzo Sarcinelli Conegliano (TV).
In 2012/17 her engravings and artist's books are present in national and international exhibitions. In 2014-2016 she was invited to the  “Third International Biennial of engraving” in Araraquara, Brazil, the “Triennale Européenne de l'Estampe Contemporaine” Toulouse, at the International Biennial of Bucharest and the exhibition "Mirror Face to Face. Italian and macedonian" Artists, Bitola (Macedonia), Vicenza, Vas (BL), in Rome at the Library Vallicelliana ( "Cahier de dessin "). 
It is part of the International Association of Contemporary Engravers
Graziella Da Gioz teaches Painting Techniques at the Art Institute “G. De Fabris” in Nove (Vicenza). She also has a studio in her home in Crespano del Grappa (Treviso).
